raw chocolate ice cream

In the brief warmth which constitutes the British summer time, your appetite might start to wander towards the fridge or the freezer for a chilled treat – after all, chocolate melts in the sun, right? It also melts deliciously over ice cream, makes scrumptious cold desserts and flavours luxurious liquid refreshment.

We’ve scoured Instagram for some of the coolest – both literally and figuratively - raw chocolate recipes. Prepare to feast your eyes:

Rainbow hearts

Using raw ingredients, photographer and foodie, Ellen Charlotte Marie has wowed Instagram with these pretty rainbow hearts, which fuse the sumptuous flavours of raspberry, blueberry, grapefruit, matcha and chocolate. How gorgeous would these look on the table for a girls’ dinner or even a wedding?

Banana popsicles with raw chocolate and goodies

Fantastic for a summer BBQ, this low-fat alternative to an ice lolly will appeal to both children and adults alike - and it couldn’t be simpler. Halved bananas are put on sticks and placed in the freezer until you need them. Before you wish to serve, carefully melt some raw chocolate (either over a bain marie or gradually on a low setting in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds or so). Dip the frozen bananas in the melted raw chocolate and before it sets hard, sprinkle with the topping of your choice. Easy!
